@anime! Throws Itself Into Angelic Layer in October

22 October 2003 - Orem, Utah -- We had a small delay this month as some major article topics shifted at the last moment, but it was worth the wait as we take a look at some great stuff for October's issue. The latest issue of @anime! Magazine is now online and we have a great list of reviews and commentaries.

In Volume 1 Issue 3, we join Misaki Suzuhara and Hikaru as we take a look at the fun and fanciful world from manga powerhouse CLAMP in Angelic Layer from ADV Films. Then we'll take a look at the first release from Dreamworks' new distribution arm, Go Fish Pictures, as we follow the life of Japanese cinema star Chiyoko Fujiwara in Satoshi Kon's masterpiece, Millennium Actress. Next up, it's the battle for the future of mankind as Heaven and Earth collide in another CLAMP offering in X from Geneon Entertainment. Then we take a look into the retro world with one of the latest Bandai hits on Cartoon Network with Android Kikaider. But that's just the anime side. In the gaming world, we'll take a look at the latest fighting release for the Nintendo GameCube, Namco's long-awaited follow-up, Soul Calibur 2. Then we'll take a trip back through time as we catch up with all those obnoxious aliens with Lum and Crew in the Rumiko Takahashi hit, Urusei Yatsura from AnimEigo. And what would an issue be without a look at an anime con? This month, travel with us to the South as we venture into the world of Anime Weekend Atlanta. There will also be commentaries, editorials, release schedules, our new department QuickPicks and much more!
